Having a strange problem suddenly: when i use apple-o to open a bookmark in Safari:
- first Safari opens with an empty window
- next a finder window opens with the folder where the file is located, nothing else
Any thoughts?
thanks,
Gerben

Hi Gerben, this works
Hi Gerben,
this works perfectly for me. Is this the case for all your bookmarks? What happens if you open the bookmark in the Finder?
Cheers

Hi Johannes, It only happens
Hi Johannes,
It only happens with bookmarks in the Punakea folder.. I just tagged a bookmark with Punakea and the problem occurs. I dragged to same bookmark from Safari to desktop and apple-o opens it..
Weird no?
Gerben
Just getting back to this,
Just getting back to this, any clue on what might be happening here?
Thanks,
Gerben
Sorry, haven't had the time
Sorry, haven't had the time to look into this yet!
Will do so as soon as possible :). In the meantime, does cmd+downarrow work properly?
Cheers,
Johannes
Hi, thanks! Sorry for being
Hi, thanks! Sorry for being a bit pushy, guess it's just a bit weird (and frustrating) that this suddenly happens.
cmd+downarrow doesn't work either..
One thing: is there a chance that Punakea actually gets confused by setting keyboard shortcuts for other apps? I remember setting a shortcut for Slipbox and it seemed that after that things went awry. Might be totally unconnected but just thought to mention it.
Best,
Gerben
Hey Gerben, don't worry
Hey Gerben,
don't worry about being pushy :)
I don't really get the problem, if you press cmd+downarrow this should actually do the same as when double clicking, and this is a straightforward way of opening files in OS X:
[[NSWorkspace sharedWorkspace] openFile:path]
I really can't image what might go wrong there, especially because it works for us. One thing you can do, please send us a bookmark that Punakea created and one that the Finder created - we can then compare them here and perhaps find out what's wrong :)
Setting keyboard shortcuts in other apps shouldn't interfere - but might if the other app is really mean about it ;)
Cheers,
Johannes
