When deleting files from previous releases of Punakea, they ended up in the trash. I found this very handy, because I sometimes store files in Punakea temporarily. When I wanted to file these files properly, say in iPhoto, iTunes, I just deleted them, moved them from the trash to the desktop and that's it.
Now, however, I fond that when I delete them from Punakea, they're really gone. Is this intentional?

Hm, deleting to trash works
Hm, deleting to trash works for me. Both by edit-delete and by dragging to the trash. Can you give us any additional details?
Furthermore, if you want to access those files, you can just drag them to the desktop from the result view, you don't need to work around using the trash :)

well, weird thing here is that, yes, dragging to the desktop works! However, when I delete the file from Punakea (command-backspace), both the Punakea file and the file on the desktop are moved to the trash and deleted INSTANTLY! This only happens with the key-command, not when I delete something by selecting the command from the menubar!
I tried it (with command
I tried it (with command backspace), and here the file stays in the trash and is not deleted instantly. (MacOS 10.4.8, Intel Core Duo)
Yup, same here, deleting
Yup, same here, deleting works fine. The file on the desktop actually is the file in Punakea, if you drag it there and do not have "manage files" enabled :)
Can you give us any additional hint about your deletion problem? If not, please send us your eu.nudgenudge.punakea.plist in the Users Library/Preferences folder!
well, I don't know what
well, I don't know what happend, but the problem didn't go away until I repaired permissions and restarted. All's well again :-D
