I use Punakea to help organize documents for doing research, so I often have a lot of articles with a similar set of tags.
I find that once I get past 15 or so files with the same tag set, it gets complicated to find a particular file. I appreciate that I can sort by Documents, PDFs, Images, and Bookmarks, but there are a few annoyances or features that would be useful.
Problems:
1) When I drill down to pdf documents I get preview images, but the image size is too small to be useful (most of my PDFs are boring reports with text titles I can't read at that size). I also can't read the filename and it doesn't seem that I can have a list of PDFs rather than a set of thumbnails.
2) "Documents" is a pretty broad category. It'd be nice if we could pick file extensions or define other subsets (e.g. spreadsheets = xls, xlsx, numbers).
Having no experience programming, I'm sure these are super easy to just add to the software! :-)

Hey indros, did you know you
Hey indros,
did you know you can use Quicklook (press space once a file is selected) in Punakea? This helps you to glance at your stuff before you open it! Other than that, we will improve the results view in future versions, of course :)
The categories we are using at the moment are hard-coded - we are using the same categories as Spotlight. We have been working on that specific feature a bit the last weeks, perhaps we'll think of something better there - so stay tuned!
Cheers
