I just discovered Punakea and I like it a lot. However, I have a problem with accentuated characters (like "é", "è", etc.). Punakea accepts them, but duplicate tags that contain such characters.

We already had a bug report
We already had a bug report regarding this. This happens because the finder spotlight comment stores the characters differently than in the input string. We have not yet had a closer look at this unfortunately, but we will try to address this in the upcoming release.
Good news, I think we might
Good news, I think we might have that one fixed. New tags with accents should not duplicate anymore. We'll be sure once v0.3 is released and you can test :)
