As an experiment, i deleted all (backed-up) preferences and settings for punakea.
Afterwards, i used it again. Alas, no tags to be seen. (Somehoe expected ;))
So i dropped a file, which was tagged earlier into the tagger, and it recovered all known tags, and could find any other file tagged with any of these tags. And if any file had other tags, they would be recovered too.
Is there any way to recover the tags, other than dropping some files into punakea?
I can imagine some button "find unfound tags" ;)
I didn't find anything concerning this, sorry if i missed it.

in the Punakea menu bar, go to 'Tools->Rebuild Tag Database', this will do the trick.
