I have Punakea set up for file management.
I recently tried to tag a file that was located on an external HD.
(fyi...the drive was awake and spinning).
I have submitted a crash log but I wanted to post here as well to see if others were having this same issue....
I ended up copying the file to my main HD then tagging took place no issue....

I haven't been able to get
I haven't been able to get tagging to work on an external drive either yet. I am using Punakea v1.1.1 and I've tried to tag files on my Time Capsule drive which is attached via my home wireless network. While I can't seem t get the applied tags to stick, Punakea itself does not crash or seem to be otherwise affected. In fact v1.1.1 seems very stable in all my tests.
